Breathing techniques support our physical, emotional and mental health and nervous system. This breathwork class with Aliya Daniels is beneficial to all, and ideal for anyone experiencing stress, anxiety or overwhelm, looking for support through life challenges and transitions, healing trauma or physical ailments, or interested in new experiences to deepen their path of self-exploration.
The focus of this weekly class is awareness of our own breath and how it moves through our body; awareness of the possibilities available through our breath for supporting physical, mental and emotional health; deeper awareness of our emotional experiences and path of healing/transformation through the language of breath; breath as a tool to regulate the nervous system, calm the mind and create change.
Each practice begins with gentle mindful movement to get out of our heads and into our bodies. We'll practise various simple breathing techniques that can also serve as everyday takeaways for whenever you need a breather. Then we'll move into conscious connecting breathing - a profound tool for deep healing, relaxation and emotional transformation.
